The media of the Empire of the Alexandrians consists of many different kinds of communications media - television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Alexandria also enjoys a strong and rich music industry.

The Empire has a diverse range of providers, the most prominent being the state-owned public service broadcaster, the Alexandrian Broadcasting Corporation, known as 'ABC'.

ALEXANDRIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION

The ABC is an independent public corporation under Imperial Charter through the Television License Fee (LCF), charged to all Alexandrian households, companies and organizations using any type of equipment to receive television broadcasts. It also gets funding from profits through its subsidiary, ABC Worldwide Ltd. and ABC Studios Ltd. Its budget has historically been centered around direct grants from the Imperial Assembly through the LCF and added revenue grants from His Imperial Majesty's Treasury. It has several channels: ABC News (Ch. 1), a 24-hr channel with news coverage of news from all around the Empire, documentaries, coverage of Imperial Family events, foreign news and some public access programming; and ABC Two (Ch. 2), ABC Three (Ch. 3), ABC Five (Ch. 5), ABC Eight (Ch. 8).

- Revenue: 4.7 billion (2013)

- The Genevan Arrow is a weekly news magazine formerly known as the Genevan Gazette, and is the oldest publication in the Empire, counting on tens of millions of subscribers throughout the Empire and the world.
- Intermicronational News Network is a news feed based on important micronational publications from across Micras, providing a world perspective on the happenings of the day to the Alexandrian public.

PRENSA ALEJANDRINA, colloquially called "La Prensa".

Prensa Alejandrina is one of Alexandria's oldest media conglomerates owning several newspapers, radio stations and TV stations through out the Empire. Based in Los Santos, San Martin.

- TVAlex (Ch. 4) - an independent, privately owned TV network based out of San Martin in Spanish, but broadcasts in other languages as well.

- TVPlata (Ch. 10), a news channel exclusively devoted to economic and financial news throughout the Empire and the world, documentaries about the economy, business and politics.

VOX

Owned by media magnate Jean Cheriault. Based out of Leifgrad-Baden, used to cater exclusively to Leifgrad-Baden, Luthoria and Galatia, but over the last decade it has expanded its reach throughout the Empire. Regional media presence in nearby Stormark.

- TVJeune (Ch. 12), an entertainment and news channel geared specifically toward the teenage youth of Alexandria, broadcast Empire-wide, through music, interviews with famous people, and gossip, think of a mix of MTV and TMZ.

PRESS CORP

Owned by Frederique Gambon, based out of Chambéry, Baudrix. It owns several regional and national newspapers, radio stations and TV stations.

- La Chaîne Info, or LCI (French: "The News Channel") is an Alexandrian cable news channel. The network provides 24-hour national and global news coverage. It also operates several other smaller regional TV networks and stations. Political view: Right.

- The Imperial Journal, an Alexandrian weekly news magazine published out of Chambéry, Baudrix. It is one of the oldest national news magazines, existing since the late 18th century. Counts on 5 million subscribers throughout the Empire. Political view: Center-right.

ALLENDESM

Owned by Jose Agustin Allende, former President and Prime Minister of San Martin. Headquarters are in Los Santos, San Martin.

- WAPA TV is an independent television station network based in Las Cruces, San Martin, and works as the Empire's main Spanish language channel news network at a local and cable news level. Political view: Centrist, regional focus on San Martin and the Spanish-speaking community of Alexandria.

- El Nuevo Dia is Alexandria's second largest newspaper by subscriptions, one of the oldest newspapers in the Empire. Political view: Centrist, regional focus on San Martin and the Spanish-speaking community of Alexandria.

ALEXNET

Owned by Alexandria media mogul and brother of former First Consul Jean Carmicheal - Daniel Carmicheal.

- Empire Net 7 is an Alexandrian TV station network. The network provides 24-hour national and global news coverage. It also operates several other smaller regional TV networks and stations. Political view: Left.

- The International, an Alexandrian weekly news magazine published out of Franciscania, Valenciennes. It is one of the largest national news magazines, counting on over 4.5 million subscribers throughout the Empire. Political view: Center-left.

I thought of "Alexandria Today" for a second, but I feel like that would limit stories to Alexandria only
