List of Alexandrian First Consuls
The First Consul of the Empire of the Alexandrians is the head of Government of the Empire of the Alexandrians, and chairs meetings of the Consulate. The office of First Consul first appeared in the National Assembly that drafted Alexandria's first Constitution after the Revolution of 1774. The Constitution was ratified by a national referendum, creating the office of First Consul. The term "Consul" came from a desire to break with the previous tradition that instead used the title of "Minister" or "Secretary of State." At the time, while those terms were used by the old monarchical regime, it was used extensively by the Council for Revolutionary Security and then after by the Alexandrian Commonwealth under Joseph Thiers. With the word Consul, the drafters of that Constitution aimed to evoke the Consuls that once served as magistrates in the ancient and classical Lerian Republic that united modern-day Baudrix, Valenciennes, Ibelin, and Rio Grande from 509 BC and ended in 27 BC.
The first First Consul of the Empire was Jacques Briotte of the Democratic Party. The longest serving First Consul of the Empire was _____________.
